I create my art based on a spontaneous and freely gestural response to a lived reality, which results in a borderline between abstract and figurative painting. I reflect a sensation of nature in my paintings, not a representation of it. In my paintings, I am addressing the importance of biodiversity through creating interconnected forms inspired by the idea of diversity and biological balance in the ecosystem. This notion has reshaped my philosophy of art’s origin and has encouraged me to reconsider my role as a human being in preserving the environment, which has resulted in a deep understanding of the inseparable connection between nature, art, and science.
In my previous collections, from 2008 to 2015, I was determined to illustrate stories reflecting daily life crises, social issues, and human narrations, through depicting realistic objects in my paintings. Since 2017, I have begun investigating formal values of the components rather than a realistic representation of the subject in my paintings.
I am passionate about including visual and material aspects of formalism in my paintings. I have expanded my practice to include various ways of handling the many different mediums and applicators on diverse bases. This approach has helped me in creating a variety of abstract, organic, and geometric forms reflecting ecological systems, which are interactively manifesting each other.
Getting to learn about the concept of an ecological environment has opened many ways of creating art to me. In addition to applying traditional art supplies, I am expanding my practice by using other materials such as wood, glass, and foam. The result will be compositions of three-dimensional units representing the sensation of ecological environment and ecosystem equilibrium based on my previous paintings.
